For Fox Legs Children's Book

£10.99

A young boy’s slightly twisted words that help decode the language of autism.

Autistic kids are often (unknowingly) made to feel they’re weird, silly, disruptive, annoying or just out of place. The chances for social interaction are so fundamental for them, particularly in their early years. If only fellow kids were able to make sense of their odd-for-a-reason ways.

“For Fox Legs” is a phrase invented by a 11-year old who has autism. Words don't come easy to him, but he's found a quirky way of interacting with them. This book is a collection of his awkward, random and made up words. And his mum's attempt to decode them to unlock a tiny bit of his incredible mind.

It is designed to encourage young readers to imagine the world through someone else's perspective. Someone who finds  simple things that we take for granted, like talking, very, very hard. An effort to help kids make sense of their peers who are different and encourage acceptance, teach empathy and celebrate diversity in the world around them.
